Description
Jupiter is a walnut and glass coffee table with two tiers, designed by Fabio Rebosio. This configuration combines a bronze glass top with a lower shelf in Canaletto walnut veneer and aluminium supports clad in the same wood. Standing 30 cm high, it is available in four sizes, in square or rectangular formats.
The glass reveals the lower shelf, while the walnut creates continuity between the shelf and the supports. The table’s low profile keeps views across the sofa and the surrounding living room furniture open.
Canaletto walnut and bronze glass
The lower shelf in Canaletto walnut veneer showcases the grain of the wood. The aluminium supports clad in Canaletto walnut repeat the same material, giving the composition a coherent appearance and visually connecting the two tiers.
The bronze glass top introduces a tint that complements the warmth of the walnut while keeping the lower shelf and supports visible. This combination defines the version of Jupiter presented here: the wood has a distinct presence, while the transparency of the glass lends the composition visual lightness.
A two-tier coffee table for the living room
The two tiers provide separate surfaces for organising everyday objects. The upper top can accommodate a book, a serving tray or anything you want to keep within reach; the lower shelf offers space for books and magazines, leaving the glass surface clearer.
The transparent top also reveals the objects arranged beneath it. Leaving part of the lower shelf free allows the walnut grain to be appreciated and keeps the table’s design clearly visible.
Four sizes, in square or rectangular formats
Jupiter in the Canaletto walnut and bronze glass configuration is available in four sizes, all 30 cm high:
- 85 × 85 × H 30 cm — square;
- 120 × 65 × H 30 cm — rectangular;
- 120 × 120 × H 30 cm — square;
- 140 × 70 × H 30 cm — rectangular.
The 85 × 85 cm square format suits a compact seating area, while the 120 × 120 cm version provides a more generous surface for an arrangement with several seats around the table.
The rectangular formats follow the length of the sofa. The 120 × 65 cm version offers an elongated surface with a smaller footprint; the 140 × 70 cm version can be considered for longer sofas and seating arrangements that extend lengthways.
When choosing a format, consider the proportions of your seating, the distance from the sofa and the walkways you need to keep clear. The dimensions of your rug and the position of any armchairs can also help you find a size that works well in the room.
How to coordinate a walnut and glass coffee table
Canaletto walnut and bronze glass can complement a living room with wooden furniture or introduce warmth into an interior with a pale colour palette. Beside a fabric sofa, the grain of the shelf and the smooth glass surface create a contrast of materials; alongside leather upholstery, the walnut contributes to a more intimate atmosphere.
The woods in your living room do not need to match exactly: consider their tones, grain patterns and the balance of the room as a whole. The table’s format matters as much as the combination of materials, as it determines its relationship with the sofa and the space available around the seating.
If you would like advice, you can send us photographs and measurements of your seating area. We can help you assess the size and coordinate the table with your existing furniture, taking your everyday needs into account.
