Jupiter is a coffee table with a glass top and two tiers, designed by Fabio Rebosio. Standing 30 cm high and available in square or rectangular formats, it provides a surface in front of the sofa and a lower shelf for books and magazines. This version combines clear glass with a gloss Madreperla lacquered finish and polished aluminium supports.

Its understated design brings together the transparent upper top and the lacquered surface beneath it. The low profile keeps views across the seating area open, while the two tiers allow everyday objects to be arranged without crowding a single surface.

A clear glass top and a lacquered lower shelf

The clear glass top reveals the lower shelf and the supporting structure. The gloss Madreperla lacquered finish introduces a light, reflective surface, complemented by the reflections of the polished aluminium supports.

The contrast between glass, lacquer and metal gives the coffee table character while preserving its visual lightness. The transparent top also allows the lower shelf to be appreciated from above: its finish and the objects placed on it contribute to Jupiter’s overall appearance.

A two-tier coffee table for everyday use

The two tiers allow you to separate the objects you use throughout the day from those you want to keep nearby. The upper top can accommodate a book, a serving tray or small everyday items, while the lower shelf provides additional space for magazines and books, leaving the glass surface clearer.

To make the most of the table’s design, leave part of the lacquered shelf visible. A few carefully arranged objects keep the relationship between the two tiers clear and allow light to pass through the glass.

Dimensions: square or rectangular coffee table

The configuration with a gloss Madreperla lower shelf, clear glass top and polished aluminium supports is available in two sizes, both 30 cm high:

• 85 × 85 × H 30 cm — square;
• 120 × 65 × H 30 cm — rectangular.

The square format suits a compact seating area or an arrangement with several seats around the table. The rectangular format follows the length of the sofa, providing an elongated surface in front of the seating.

Your choice will depend on the proportions of the room and how you use it. Consider the distance from the sofa, the position of any armchairs and the walkways you need to keep clear: the table should be easy to reach without obstructing movement through the living room.

The clear glass top and light lacquered shelf work well in a living room with a pale colour palette, but can also create contrast beside a dark sofa. With richly textured upholstery, the table’s smooth surfaces introduce a contrasting texture; alongside wooden furniture, the lacquer can echo other light details in the room.

For a balanced arrangement, consider the table’s format together with the dimensions of your sofa and rug. The square version can complement a more compact layout, while the rectangular version follows a seating arrangement that extends lengthways.

On request, Jupiter can also be considered in other matt or gloss lacquered finishes, or with a lower shelf in Canaletto walnut veneer or ash veneer in the available finishes. The upper top can also be requested in bronze or smoked glass. Alternative configurations may have different prices and require an individual quotation.
