Description
Ishikawa: an unexpected balance, a presence to live with
Some pieces give a room its character before everyday life unfolds around them. Ishikawa brings material, colour and architecture together at the heart of the dining space: the tabletop follows a gentle outline, while the base introduces an unexpected rhythm of contrasting volumes and asymmetrical proportions. A diagonal cut across the large cylindrical leg creates a dialogue with two slimmer supports, finding harmony in their differences.
Designed by Cristian Li Voi, this curved rectangular dining table has a sculptural presence that gives an interior its identity through form alone. The rounded ends draw the eye along the tabletop, while the contrasting finishes invite personal combinations of wood grain and glossy colour. Around Ishikawa, everyday moments find a distinctive setting: an intimate dinner, a conversation that lingers, the pleasure of a home shaped around the way you live.
Tabacco and gloss Salvia: the featured combination
The ash-veneered tabletop and main leg are presented in the TB Tabacco finish. The ash grain follows the table’s lines, complemented by the two smaller legs in gloss Salvia L43: a touch of colour that defines the composition and highlights the interplay of its volumes.
The gallery also shows an alternative pairing with the two smaller legs in gloss Madreperla L9, alongside the same Tabacco-stained ash tabletop and main leg. More neutral in its colour palette, this version offers a different interpretation of the design and suggests other combinations with dining chairs, fabrics and interior finishes.
Three sizes, the same balance of proportions
The Ishikawa curved rectangular table is available in 200 × 110, 240 × 110 and 260 × 110 cm, selectable from the dropdown menu. The wooden tabletop is 3 cm thick, and the table’s overall height is 76 cm.
The width remains the same across all three sizes, while the choice of length allows you to find the right proportions for your dining space. When choosing a size, consider the room’s dimensions, the space occupied by your chairs and the clearance needed to move around the table. We can help you assess these details and incorporate Ishikawa into your interior.
Choosing the tabletop: wood, lacquer, marble or glass
Personalising Ishikawa begins with the tabletop, the surface that does most to shape its character and its relationship with light. The available options include:
- Ash-veneered wood, with a choice of stained finishes that bring out the grain.
- Lacquered fibreboard, for a composition centred on colour, in the finishes available for your chosen configuration.
- Polished natural marble, with a 2 cm thick tabletop that showcases the stone’s veining.
- Tempered glass, in clear, transparent bronze or smoke, with a standard thickness of 10 mm.
A 12 mm thickness is available at an additional cost for the glass versions that support this option.
Wood finishes and colours for the base
Ash is available in NC tinto noce, TB Tabacco, WG Wengé, MK Moka and TN tinto nero, as well as an open-pore matt lacquered finish. The latter introduces colour while keeping the texture of the wood visible.
The two smaller cylindrical legs offer another opportunity to personalise the table. They can echo the wood finish or create a contrast with an open-pore matt, closed-pore matt or gloss lacquered finish. This allows you to create a unified composition, introduce a neutral accent or choose a more distinctive colour pairing, such as the Tabacco and gloss Salvia combination featured here.
The finish chart in the gallery brings the colours and materials together for comparison. We can guide you through the choices, considering the table as a whole and how it will sit alongside the other elements in your room.
Four expressions of natural marble
The polished natural marble tabletops are available in Bianco Carrara, Nero Marquinia, Emperador Dark and Calacatta Vagli Oro. Each stone offers a different aesthetic: Bianco Carrara combines a pale background with grey veining; Nero Marquinia creates a pronounced contrast between its dark background and lighter veins; Emperador Dark introduces brown tones; and Calacatta Vagli Oro stands out for its veining and golden hues.
Natural variations in the stone make every tabletop different. The sample images provide a starting point for imagining the result and choosing the relationship between the marble, the base and your interior.
The right shape for your project
Alongside the curved rectangular version featured on this page, the Ishikawa collection includes a rectangular table in 200 × 110, 240 × 110 and 260 × 110 cm, and a round table in diameters of 140, 160 and 180 cm. The technical drawings in the gallery allow you to compare the shapes and dimensions.
