Description
Ishikawa: marble meets sculpture, gathered around a circle
A circle draws people together and gives conversation room to find its own rhythm. Ishikawa lends this sense of togetherness a sculptural expression: the Calacatta Vagli Oro marble tabletop rests above an asymmetrical base, where a large cylindrical leg, crossed by a diagonal cut, meets two slimmer supports. The continuous outline of the top contrasts with the movement of the volumes beneath it, creating a balance that reveals itself differently from every viewpoint.
Designed by Cristian Li Voi, Ishikawa brings a considered pairing of materials to the dining room. Marble veins trace their paths across the pale surface, while Tabacco-stained ash introduces a deep tone that sets off the stone. A table to imagine at the heart of home life, from the morning light to a thoughtfully laid table and conversations that carry on into the evening.
Calacatta Vagli Oro and Tabacco-stained ash
The featured configuration has a round tabletop in polished natural Calacatta Vagli Oro marble, with a thickness of 2 cm. Its pale background, distinctive veining and golden hues give the surface an expressive character, enhanced by the polished finish.
All three legs are in ash-veneered wood with the TB Tabacco finish. A single tone unites the elements of the base, allowing their different proportions to define the composition. The diagonal cut in the main leg introduces a striking detail, while the two slimmer cylinders complete the rhythm of the design.
Variations in colour and veining are part of the nature of marble: every tabletop has its own pattern. The photograph illustrates the proposed material and combination; the veining of the table supplied may differ from that shown.
Three diameters to find the right proportions
The round Ishikawa table is available in diameters of 140, 160 and 180 cm, selectable from the dropdown menu. Its overall height is 76 cm.
The circular shape creates a continuous connection between the people seated around the table and offers different ways to arrange a dining space. When choosing a diameter, consider the available room, the dimensions of your chairs and the clearance needed around the setting. We can help you compare the three sizes using a floor plan or photographs of your interior.
Four marbles, four moods
Alongside the Calacatta Vagli Oro featured here, Ishikawa is available with a tabletop in Bianco Carrara, Nero Marquinia or Emperador Dark, each in polished natural marble with a thickness of 2 cm.
Bianco Carrara suggests a light composition, with its pale background and grey veining; Nero Marquinia introduces a pronounced contrast between a deep, dark background and lighter veins; Emperador Dark brings the composition towards brown tones. Calacatta Vagli Oro offers its own interplay of a pale background, veining and golden hues. The finish chart in the gallery allows you to explore these different aesthetic directions.
Personalising the tabletop and base
The Ishikawa collection also offers tabletops in ash-veneered wood, lacquered fibreboard and tempered glass. The wooden tabletop is 3 cm thick; glass is available in clear, transparent bronze and smoke, with a thickness of 10 or 12 mm depending on the selected version.
The available ash finishes include NC tinto noce, TB Tabacco, WG Wengé, MK Moka and TN tinto nero. These tones allow you to explore different depths of colour in the wood and find a relationship with the marble, chairs and finishes in your room. Open-pore matt lacquer offers another possibility, introducing colour while keeping the texture of the ash visible.
The two smaller cylinders provide a particularly interesting opportunity to experiment with combinations. They can match the main leg, as in the photographed configuration, or stand apart through an open-pore matt, closed-pore matt or gloss lacquered finish. The finish chart offers a wide choice of colours, from neutral tones to more distinctive shades, suited to different tastes and interior schemes.
You can work tone on tone, pairing related shades for a harmonious, understated composition, or choose a colour contrast that highlights the individual volumes of the base. An accent colour might echo the upholstery of your chairs, a detail in a rug or another feature of the room; a neutral lacquer can instead leave the marble to take centre stage.
The choice between matt and gloss also changes the way colour contributes to the composition: matt has a quieter presence, while gloss introduces reflections that respond to the light. The finish chart in the gallery invites you to compare these possibilities and imagine your own pairing. We can help you explore them, finding a balance between the character of the table and that of your home.
A family of shapes for your project
Alongside the round version, available in diameters of 140, 160 and 180 cm, Ishikawa includes rectangular and curved rectangular shapes, both in sizes of 200 × 110, 240 × 110 and 260 × 110 cm. The technical drawings in the gallery allow you to compare shapes and dimensions; the overall height varies with the tabletop material, as shown in the drawings.
Your choice might begin with a material you love, a palette already present in the room or the proportions of the space. Through our remote consultation service, we can help you bring these elements together and define a combination suited to your project. You can share photographs, measurements and ideas for your interior with us; where useful, we can also explore the possibility of sending samples, subject to availability and the applicable conditions.
The displayed prices apply to the round table with a polished natural Calacatta Vagli Oro marble tabletop and all three legs in TB Tabacco-stained ash, in the selected diameter.
