Description

Mr X is the ideal solution to protect open space from the sun with style, elegance and functionality.
Mr X is a retractable gazebo with a built-in roll-up sunshade.

The aluminium structure is fixed to the ground by means of anchoring plates and dowels.
The poles have a profile of 100 x 60 mm and are painted in white (or grey).
Two poles are equipped with wheels at the base to facilitate the opening of the structure with an ingenious and revolutionary compass system.
The 4 poles are also all equipped with vertical LED profiles powered at 220 V and remote-controlled.

The sail, white in colour, is manually wound and unwound.
Once fully extended, it guarantees a maximum coverage of 2.8 x 2.8 meters.

The overall dimensions of the structure are cm. 443 x 425.
The height is 230 cm.
The gazebo weighs 60 kg.

Warning: in case of adverse conditions, furl the sails to avoid damage to the structure, things and people.

Marco Acerbis

Born in 1973 Marco Acerbis graduates in architecture from Politecnico di Milano in 1998. From 1997 to 2004 he lives in London where he works with Foster+Partners studio. Over these years he collaborates on the construction of an eight storey high Medical Research Building at the Imperial College Campus in London. He then becomes Project Architect for Capital City Academy, a 250 meter long High School building for 1400 students which was opened by Tony Blair. He sets up his own practice in Italy in 2004. Fascinated by designing at very different scales he quickly moves on to explore with a constant cross over of skills, ideas, tools and technologies all sorts of subjects to achieve a globally designed space. As a way of exploring the boudaries between mind and body in extreme conditions he costantly competes in Ironman70.3 Triathlon events, where the athlete is challenged by a 1,9 km open water swim + 90km bike ride + 21,1km run without stopping.
