The concept of the new chaise longue Ala comes from finding the balance between a linear and contemporary design, and at the same time stylish and sophisticated.
Design is by Matteo Nunziati.
The ergonomic and sinuous line is characterized by the base and the seat with integrated table, composed of two concave and convex curved surfaces, alternating harmoniously thus balancing.
The essentiality of the shape is enriched by refined details typical of the tradition of the company who has always focused on quality and careful selection of materials: from the mattress with fine stitching to the straps that hold the headrest, totally exclusive too, with diagonal stitching.
The base can be upholstered in saddle leather creating a link with the seat, or it can be made in “Canaletto” walnut that makes Ala even more rich and elegant.
The load-bearing frame is constructed of tubular steel and the webbing consists of elastic polypropylene and natural latex belts fixed to the metal frame.
This frame is embedded in a cold-formed polyurethane with a density of 60 Kg/m3, and then completely covered with bonded plush; a polyester wadding mat sewed with the final covering in fabric or leather is finally fixed to the frame.
The base and the arm are made in beech plywood panel curved into a mould; they both are available completely covered in leather or veneered with flamed black walnut wood with matt finish called “wax effect”.
The headrest cushion is in polyester wadding covered and quilted.

The standard leather used is that in the PF category.

The department of Interior Design and Architecture is specialized in designing Luxury hotels, Residences and Private Villas, Wellness Centers and Spas, which have been built all over the world (Europe, Russia, Arabia, China). Works and collaborations: Domus Academy (Milan), Department of Industrial Design/Graduate Institute of Innovation and Design – National Taipei University of Technology of Taipei, Taiwan, Ateneo Creativo – IDI Interior Design Institute (Milan), “50+2y Italian design” at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing, university “Tshinghua Shenzhen University” in Shenzhen (China). Since 2009 Matteo Nunziati participates at several prestigious conferences, organized by “Federlegno Arredo” in collaboration with the ICE (Chamber of Commerce) and the Italian Government to represent the Italian Design in the world (Qatar, Lebanon, Egypt, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Estonia, Latvia, Switzerland, etc).
